New York City Part 2
So New York has been pretty hectic, part of the reason I haven’t been able to post. Life is crazy here, things move so fast there is no time to stop and relax. Today I finally have a break, after morning meetings with Morgan Stanley, I am off shopping and site seeing before my banquet dinner at the Billionaire, William P. Carey’s penthouse apartment. Should be quite an event, especially since he is the founder of my business school, the W. P. Carey school of Business at Arizona State. Back to the rest of this week, hectic explains it all. Yesterday, I had several meetings throughout the day and got lost going to all of them. Instead of getting of at the Wall Street exit I ended up crossing the bridge and heading into the wrong part of Brooklyn. I got it all settled but stressed me out for a while. Networking has been very successful, still undecided if I want to pursue an internship next summer or just travel but having the contacts there is never a bad scenario. Last night was also pretty crazy with the Yankees winning the world series. I am staying in Times Square and it was quite a party with people rioting, dancing on cars and all. I am excited for the parade on Friday, trying to work it in between my meetings. Anyways, sorry I haven’t been able to post this week about the stocks and the markets though will be back at it next week. Flying home early Sunday morning to make it to the USC vs Arizona State football game. I’ll try to get in another post before I leave though that all depends on timing.

Back of the Napkin
1. The think that I thought was effective about this book is the way it exposed new ways of thinking. It shows you creativity is a process that can be improved if you follow effective methods, not necessarily something in which your born with.
2. The most creative part I thought in the book was when Lila was able to find an effective method to cut down the amount of training materials. She was able to reduce a ton of information down to only a few pages through smart processing.

Being an Expert
When is it good to be an expert? It is good to be an expert when you are trying to be the best or when you are trying to teach others about the field in which they are studying.
When it is bad? It is bad when you become cocky and try to show off or embarass others who are not as knowledged as you.
What do you hope to be an expert in and how will you know when you achieve that? I hope to be an expert when I try to become a Stock Trader on Wall Street. Being the best in your field allows you to achieve whatever you want. I know that by working hard, networking, and consitently learning everything possible I will achieve my goals.
